Our Educational Initiatives
Ganga Hospital is a popular tertiary referral centre in Coimbatore for the major trauma surgery with special interest in Hand Surgery. Ganga Hospital and Carl Zeiss have together institute a Fellowship every year for trainees and junior plastic surgeons interested in this field of Hand and Reconstructive surgery.
As one of our major educational initiatives in India for uplifting the microsurgery training, Ganga Hospital and Carl Zeiss presented a Fellowship Award Ceremony on the 19 February 2004.
Mr Ven Raman, Managing Director of Carl Zeiss India spoke on the occasion and presented the fellowship awards to the two candidates - Dr. Alphonsus Chong from National University Hospital in Singapore, and Dr. T Ayyappan from Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, India.
