Ganga Hospital and Carl Zeiss
Training Course

In order to provide excellent microscopes, quality instruments and good working environment to the aspiring trainees in Microsurgery, Carl Zeiss is proud to collaborate with Ganga Hospital for the Ganga Microsurgery Training Institute at Coimbatore, inaugurated on 14 May 2000.

The common objective of this initiative is to try and "Save a Limb" and improve quality of life of patients.

Highlights
  • One Carl Zeiss OPMI MDU Microscope per trainee
  • Trainees use S & T instruments and clamps.
  • A full set of Acland's videotapes to guide the trainee
  • An experienced instructor always at hand.
  • A graduated training schedule will be followed and a trainee will be taken from the basics to successful anastomosis of small vessels.
  • The lab is in hospital with good patient load and so clinical correlation is possible.

Course Fee
The course fee is Rs. 15,000 for practising Surgeons and Rs. 12,500 for Junior Plastic Surgeons and trainees.

The corresponding rate for overseas participants are US $300 and US $250 respectively.
