Sankara Nethralaya Carl Zeiss Centre for Excellence in Medical Retina
The centre is set up at Sankara Netralaya in Chennai.
The objective of the centre is to train practicing ophthalmologists and post graduates in Medical Retina.
The courses offered are:
1. Basic Course
Duration: 1 month
- Fundus evaluation with indirect ophthalmoscopy, slit lamp using +78 D lens
- hands on experience in digital imaging
- Interperation of FA and ICG
- Observing Laser Treatment
2. Advanced Course
Duration: 1 year
- All topics in Basic Course
- Ultrasonography
- Electrodiagnostics
- Optical Coherence Tomography
- Performing Laser photocoagulation
