Achieving high refractive outcome in a cataract patient
The above seminar was held on 24th , 25th and 26th March,2003 at New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai respectively. The seminar was jointly organized by Carl Zeiss India and Alcon,India. A total No. of 90 doctors attended the Seminar.
Dr.Hill's presented the various ways of increasing accuracy in IOL power calculation and the benefits of using IOL Master. He also compared the IOL Master with immersion ultrasound and said that IOL Master is about 5 times more accurate than immersion ultrasound. The second part of his talk covered information on Haigis formula and the intraocular lens of Alcon.
The feedback from few of the doctors are that they have heard some thing very interesting with respect to the basics of Refraction and Refractive corrections after a long time. Most of the doctors who have attended are using multifocal IOLs in their practice , and felt the IOL Master is a very useful tool for accurate calculation of the power of the lens for correcting Refractive errors.
