Dr. Namrata Sharma is the Professor of Ophthalmology,Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Services at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre of Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi Dr. Namrata Sharma holds the post of Honorary General Secretary of All India Ophthalmic Society.

As an astute clinician and author, she has over 380 publications in International peer reviewed journals and authored 11 books and 119 book chapters. She has won many International awards - APAO Leadership Award, International Ophthalmologist Education Award of American Academy of Ophthalmology, Best Video Awards from AAO and RANZCO and Best of Show awards 6 times from AAO.

Dr Namrata Sharma has been conducting instructions courses and training programs on Lamellar Surgeries such as DALK, DSEAK and DMEK techniques. He has been conferred with various awards and orations. He completed his basic medical education at S.D.M.M.C.H, Dharwad, Residency from Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore, M.S Ophthalmology at R.R.M.C.H, Bangalore. Cataract and Refractive Training at Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore. He has worked under cataract and refractive surgeons of Moran eye Center, USA and S.N.E.C, Singapore.

He is an experienced cataract and refractive surgeon with special skills in LASIK, SMILE, Phakic IOL and premium IOL implants. In a very short span of time, he has done more than 13,000 cataract and over 700 refractive surgeries. He has presented numerous papers in national and international conferences and published papers in Journals.

He has authored the book “A Practical guide to interpret visual fields” 4th edition 2020 (Published by Jaypee brothers, New Delhi). Dr Daraius Shroff is a Vitreoretinal Surgeon and Medical director at Shroff Eye Centre, New Delhi, India. Dr Shroff did his graduation and post-graduation from Maulana Azad Medical College.

He did a Vitreoretinal Surgical fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya in 2008 and was awarded the FRCS (Glasg) in 2010. Dilraj Grewal, MD specializes in the medical and surgical management of patients with complex Vitreoretinal pathology and Uveitis. He joined the Duke Eye Center in December 2016 following completion of his Vitreoretinal Surgery fellowship at Duke and Uveitis fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Dr. Grewal is excited about treating patients with several of the new diagnostic and therapeutic modalities available as well as several others in the pipeline to better help patients with these potentially blinding diseases.

He has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including the Ronald G. Michels Foundation Fellowship Award, the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship Award, Senior Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Rhett Buckler and Senior Honor Awards from American Society of Retina Specialists. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, ARVO, American Society of Retina Specialists, Vit Buckle Society, Club Vit and has been inducted into the Retina Society.

Dr. Grewal has authored over 110 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and over 150 presentations at national and international meetings. His research interests span clinical research activities in advanced ocular imaging and clinical trials for both Retina and Uveitis. He also serves as Director of Grading at the Duke Reading Center, a comprehensive image reading center that specializes in systematic analysis of ophthalmic images captured by many different modalities in multicenter clinical trials. In addition, he participates in national and international clinical trials in retina and uveitis.
 

Dr. Ronnie George

Dr Ronnie George completed his medical graduate degree from St John's Medical College, Bangalore in and trained in ophthalmology at the Christian Medical College Vellore (1996-2001. He is a past Associate Advisory Board member for the World Glaucoma Association and is past Secretary of the Glaucoma Society of India. He currently serves on the Education Committee of the World Glaucoma Association, the Editorial board of the Journal of Glaucoma and is the Section editor (Glaucoma) for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology.

He has written chapters in 17 books including international publication like World Glaucoma Association (WGA) consensus book on Screening for Glaucoma”; 2008, World Glaucoma Association (WGA) consensus book on Medical Management of glaucoma”; 2010, Glaucoma 1st Edition; Editors Shaarawy, Sherwood, Hitchings and Crowston; 2009. He has published extensively in peer reviewed journals. He has 59 publications in peer reviewed journals and 17 in non peer-reviewed journals.

He has been invited to deliver lectures at various national and international conferences that includes World Glaucoma Congress, South East Glaucoma Interest Group meeting, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Asia Pacific Ophthalmology Association conference, International Congress on Glaucoma Surgery, AIOS annual conference, Glaucoma society of Indian annual conference. So far, He has delivered more than 100 invited lectures in last 6 years.
 

Dr. Ronnie George

Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai

Dr Ronnie George completed his medical graduate degree from St John's Medical College, Bangalore in and trained in ophthalmology at the Christian Medical College Vellore (1996-2001. He subsequently joined Sankara Nethralaya, Medical Research Foundation, Chennai where he is the Research Director of the organization, and Deputy Director of the glaucoma services at Medical Research Foundation. He has trained over 60 glaucoma fellows and is guide for PHD, DNB and MPhil programs.

He has published over 125 peer reviewed indexed articles, 1 book and 12 book chapters. He has delivered more than 250 lectures at various conferences as an invited guest speaker. He received the Ruby Banik award for best researcher by the Vision Research Foundation, Chennai, the Dr TLK Row Endowment award for best Associate Consultant Medical Research Foundation and the IJO silver award for best publication in 2009.

He is a past Associate Advisory Board member for the World Glaucoma Association and is past Secretary of the Glaucoma Society of India. He currently serves on the Education Committee of the World Glaucoma Association, the Editorial board of the Journal of Glaucoma and is the Section editor (Glaucoma) for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology.
 

Dr. Saumil Sheth

Dr. Saumil Sheth is a Vitreo-retina surgeon based in Mumbai. He did his Retina Fellowship at the prestigious L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He is a passionate trainer and has trained postgraduate Ophthalmology students and Retina residents in Retinal surgeries at Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia, Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital, Mumbai and L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.

He has received gold medal honors for standing 1st in MBBS in Mumbai and 1st in Ophthalmology in India. He was ranked among the top six in the world at the Ophthalmic Basic sciences Exam, UK, subsequent to which he received a travel grant to pursue ICO Retina fellowship at Clinica Oculistica, Udine, Italy and Jules Gonin Eye Institute, Switzerland.

He has presented free papers and posters at national and international platforms and has to his credit, several publications in international peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Jaee Kelkar

NIO, Pune

Dr. Jaee Kelkar finished training in ophthalmology in KEM Hospital, Pune. She completed the Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship at University hospital Ghent in Belgium. Dr. Jaee Kelkar completed FRCS in 2017 and FACS in 2019. She is currently the Director and Consultant Ophthalmologist at NIO Pune.

Dr. Jaee Kelkar has 16 years of professional practice and her areas of interest include phacoemulsification, refractive surgery, pediatric ophthalmology and corneal surgeries. She is in the Editorial board of IJO, Pediatric ophthalmology section and has presented papers and talks at state, national and international conferences.

She has authored a book on Kids eye care titled Eyecare for Kids. Dr. Jaee is an avid painter and marathoner.

Dr. D. Ramamurthy, completed his M.B.B.S from JIPMER, Pondicherry and M.D. Ophthalmology from R.P. Center, AIIMS, New Delhi,India. At present, he is the chairman of, THE EYE FOUNDATION, a chain of state of the art eye hospitals, situated in South India.

His areas of interest are in cutting edge technology in Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He was the chairman scientific committee of All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) for a period of six years and the Past President of the same organization. He has been awarded 21 named orations both in India and abroad.

He has been an invited speaker and has performed live surgeries in most parts of India and in several countries abroad. Has 21 publications in peer reviewed journals. Is a Reviewer of Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, EYE & BJO. He has been conferred the ASIA PACIFIC CERTIFIED EDUCATOR (ACE) award by APACRS, APAO Distinguished Service Award and the American Academy of Ophthalmology – Achievement award.
