ZEISS CARBOTAN is a stylus extension made of carbon fiber with unique winding and with adapters cut into the fibers. This ensures more accurate measuring results.

Lightweight

The carbon fiber material is very lightweight. This allows the assembly of more complex stylus systems, also on probes with strict weight limits. This reduces the number of changes of styli systems.

Thermally stable

Be it in the measuring lab or in a production area – ZEISS CARBOTAN is thermally more stable than aluminum or titanium extensions and can, hence, be used in various environments.

Statically stiff

ZEISS CARBOTAN is up to 42 % more rigid than titanium extensions. This delivers more accurate measurements, even when scanning the workpiece. This means higher accuracy and faster measurement results.
