Dr. Manoj Mathew obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electronics Engineering and Photonics respectively from the Cochin University, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Bio-Photonics with a thesis on “Neuron Guidance and Nano-Neuro Surgery using optical tools” from ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences, Barcelona, Spain.
After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, Dr. Mathew joined the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, to manage their light microscopy core facility. At NCBS in addition to facility management responsibilities, he was involved in designing imaging systems and automation tools as well as collaborative projects with the industry.
Dr. Mathew joined ZEISS in 2018 as a Light Microscopy Specialist. In this role he provided application development and support for advanced light microscopy systems to the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. He is currently the Business Development Manager for Digital Services and Software for the APAC region. He is involved in creating and executing strategies, develop resources & competencies, design solutions, and explore creative ideas to promote digital innovations, software and allied services.
